Pure Component and Mixture Properties
Several pure component properties must be known, e.g., for the design of chemical and separation processes. It is very important not only to have the vapor - liquid equilibrium information for distillation processes, but also decisive to know the pure component vapor pressure curves, temperature and pressure dependent density data or transport properties. The same is true for melting points in the frame of crystallization processes. To perform the simulation of heat balances, enthalpy changes and heat capacities are required as well as heat effects of phase changes (condensation, precipitation, absorption, etc.).
- PVT properties (densities, PVT data, vapor pressures, critical data)
- Caloric properties (heat capacities, excess enthalpies, heats of fusion, vaporization, etc.)
- Transport properties (viscosities, thermal conductivities, surface tensions, speed of sound data)
